Using this website
This website gives general information about Harbor Plumbing & Heating and our services. By using it, you agree to these terms. Information on this site isn’t a quote or a guarantee of availability — call us for either.
Estimates & quotes
- Every job starts with a diagnosis and a written flat-rate quote. No work begins until you approve it.
- Quotes are good for 30 days unless material prices change sharply, in which case we’ll tell you before work starts.
- If we find something unexpected once a wall or floor is open, we stop and give you a revised quote before going further.
- A diagnostic fee may apply if you decline the quoted work. We’ll tell you the amount when you book.
Scheduling & emergency calls
We give you an arrival window and call when we’re on the way. Emergency calls outside regular business hours (Mon–Fri 7 AM – 6 PM, Sat 8 AM – 2 PM) carry an after-hours rate that we’ll quote on the phone before dispatching a plumber.
Payment
Payment is due when the work is complete unless we’ve agreed otherwise in writing. Larger installations may require a deposit to order equipment. We accept major cards, checks, and cash.
Workmanship warranty
We warrant our labor for one year from the date of service. Equipment and parts carry the manufacturer’s warranty, which we’ll register for you. The warranty doesn’t cover damage from freezing, misuse, alterations by others, or pre-existing conditions we identified and you chose not to repair.
Your home & access
You agree to give our team safe access to the work area and to tell us about known hazards, such as asbestos pipe wrap, before we arrive. We’ll protect floors and finishes, but we can’t be responsible for damage to items left in the work area or for conditions hidden behind walls and floors.
Limits of liability
To the extent the law allows, our liability for any claim related to our work is limited to the amount you paid for that job. We aren’t liable for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under Massachusetts consumer protection law.
Permits & code
Where Massachusetts code requires a permit, we pull it and schedule the inspection. We won’t perform plumbing or gas work that doesn’t meet code, even if asked.
Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. The version posted here, with the date at the top, is the one in effect.
